VAL P
Val P is a contemporary painter whose work explores ancestry, land, and cultural memory. After completing her MFA at the School of Visual Arts, Val moved from New York City to the Midwest, where the landscape continues to inform her practice.
Influenced by Balkan ancestry and stories of protecting homeland and identity, Val P creates impasto paintings referencing movement and environmental shifts. Val P has presented two solo exhibitions, developing a practice rooted in resilience, history, and connection to the land.
